Ken Kindt of Signworld Congratulates InfinitySigns for The Gardener Company Deal

Laguna Hills, CA – December 30, 2011Ken Kindt of Signworld congratuted Andy and Helen Krivy of InfinitySigns Northwest for the recent work they did for the Gardner Company. InfinitySigns Northwest is a Signworld operation in Boise, ID.

InfinitySigns Northwest offers a wide variety of sign services to an expanding customer list. Their team has over 30 years of sign and graphics design experience. Their customer base consists of large corporations as well as sole proprietors.

Praising their recent designs, Ken Kindt said, "The The Gardner Company is a commercial developer that is about to break ground on a massive building in the heart of Boise. Andy, Helen and their team at InfinitySigns Northwest designed, printed and installed over 1000 sq. ft. of graphics. These graphics were applied to the security wall surround the massive site on the corner 8th St. and Main St. in downtown Boise."

In a ground breaking ceremony, which was attended by the Mayor, Developers and the local news officials to commemorate the event as well as the Mayor’s new plan to defer impact fees for new commercial construction for the next six months, Infinity Signs unveiled a 25 foot tall printed mock up of the building design.

Andy Krivy, Owner of InfinitySigns was full of energy during the conference and when he was asked of how they were awarded the opportunity to work with the developer on this project, he replied, "We were referred by the listing agent on the property. It all started when the Gardner Company management contacted the agent to brief him as to what was needed and the timeline for the project. The agent recommended us to the management of Gardner Company stating that we were the only sign company he could trust to get the job done in the area."

On being asked about the current locations they serve, Andy was prompt to reply, "Our primary service area is southern Idaho, northern Nevada, and eastern Oregon, although we are a member of a network of over 200 professional sign makers nationwide, we can also service the delivery and install requirements nationwide for our clients. Moreover, being a part of the Signworld family we can serve any location across the country, thanks to the close knit circle of Signworld owners across the nation."

Ken Kindt said, "Andy and his team has shown splendid progress in the last couple of months. We are proud to have them in our family and hope they get many more high profile deals like this one."

Ken Kindt of Signworld Appreciates Mike Butler’s Displays for The Mercantile Exchange

Laguna Hills, CA – December 28, 2011Ken Kindt, Owner of Signworld today congratulated Mike Butler and his team for aesthetically designed displays for The Mercantile Exchange. Mike Butler is the owner of Landmark Sign Company, which is a Signworld location in St. Louis, MO.

Appreciating their work, Ken Kindt said, "Mike and his team at Landmark Sign Company recently produced a beautiful full color, large format digitally printed and laminated vinyl from expertly designed artwork to panel together the graphics for work at The Mercantile Exchange. The professionally designed eye-catching displays were then professionally installed onto thousands of square feet of 1st and 2nd floor window space at The Mercantile Exchange to create another landmark in downtown St. Louis".

The Mercantile Exchange (MX) is a diverse, high-amenity district at the nexus of downtown St. Louis' business, tourism and entertainment centers. Located at the epicenter of downtown energy, the MX links downtown's most important residential, shopping and entertainment neighborhoods. MX offers magnificently renovated condos/apartments, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, hotel, movie theater, fitness facilities, and more.

The MX retail management team’s street-level service ensures an inviting visitor experience, a beautifully built environment and an exciting array of well-marketed and produced events that build on the neighborhood’s natural attributes.  The MX development team brings deep local market knowledge and a successful track record, delivering some of America's most lively mixed-use high amenity neighborhoods, such as Harbor East in Baltimore and Portland's famous Pearl District.

When asked about the opportunity, Mike said, “The location of MX is biggest advantage. Nestled in the City's surging Central Business District, MX is surrounded by America's Center, the Edward Jones Dome, the Washington Avenue Loft District, the Gateway Mall and the Gateway Arch grounds. This attractive mix of high profile surrounding structures and density of quality uses attracts not less than ten million visitors a year to the MX neighborhood, to say the least. When we got this opportunity, our goal was to create dynamic window graphics that would attract more attention to MX and increase foot-traffic through its doors. The management at MX is extremely pleased with our designs and we look forward to nurturing an ongoing relationship with the Mercantile Exchange.”

Ken Kindt, said, “The management at Mercantile Exchange is pleased with the quality and creativity of work done by Mike and his team at Landmark Sign Company. I congratulate Mike and his team for this stupendous work and hope they keep up the good work.”

Ken Kindt of Signworld Applauds 12 Point SignWorks for Sweet CeCe Deal

Laguna Hills, CA – December, 26, 2011 Ken Kindt of Signworld today applauded Murray Johns and his team at 12 Point SignWorks for the recent deal with Sweet CeCe

Headed by Murray Johns, 12 Point SignWorks is a Signworld operation in Franklin, TN.
Congratulating Murray and his team on this successful deal, Ken Kindt, Owner of Signworld said, “With great pleasure, I announce that Sweet CeCe, a frozen yogurt chain based in Nashville, TN has chosen 12 Point Signworks as their preferred Sign manufacturer. I congratulate Murray and his whole on this achievement.”

Ken Kindt then invited Murray Johns to address the congregation and give some insights on how he converted this deal. "Sweet CeCe currently has 39 locations in 10 states. Eyeing the corporate decision makers, we decided to prove ourselves first by working with one local store to create some custom interior signage and please them with our quality of work. They then introduced us to the top management and from there we never looked back."

"We studied the original signage from the incumbent sign company and decided to come up with an interior sign package that would be easier to install, simpler to fabricate and would come at a lower cost. We created prototypes of different options and settled on two styles from which the new franchisees can choose. Going by the quality of our designs and ease of use, 5 more stores placed their orders with us", added Murray.

Signworld played a major role in helping Murray and his team grab this deal. "In Signworld business model, we encourage our owners to work hard through the consultation process and show the value of their service to one customer. Murray did the say and then climbed the ladder to a much bigger partnership", said Ken Kindt.

"As a Signworld owner, one receives high end sign making equipment and software, point-of-sale, accounting and contact management equipment and software. All these coupled with proper guidance and support from the experienced team at Signworld go a long way to help them achieve their financial goals in this competitive sign industry", added Ken Kindt.

Ken Kindt of Signworld Conducts Public Webinar for Signworld Owners

Honolulu, HI – December, 15, 2011Ken Kindt, Founder and President of Signworld, conducted a public webinar for Signworld owners. Ken Kindt was also accompanied by Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld Corporation. The webinar was attended by various Signworld owners, including a couple of new entrants to the Signworld family.
This public webinar is conducted every month at various Signworld locations. At these webinars everyone is given a chance to ask any questions regarding Signworld business model and future opportunities with the organization. The owners of Signworld get an opportunity to ask questions they have in mind and get answers directly from the management. In this webinar the panel of Signworld was asked a couple of interesting questions regarding sign business.
The first question that was put forth for Ken Kindt and the panel had do with the quality of training and support as well as whether the expectations of each owner were matched or not. Replying to this query, Ken Kindt said, “Over the years, we have worked hard on our training modules to ensure that we have the best possible training program in sign franchise industry. We have weekly staff meetings to discuss and implement potential changes to the training program. This ensures that Signworld owners have every possible tool at their disposal to maximize their potential.”
“Why should people choose Signworld as a business to start with?” this was another question that grabbed the attention of the panel. This question came from a section of owners who were frequently asked this question by those who wanted to become a part of Signworld family. To this, Ken Kindt replied, "You will find that majority of people who have obtained financial security were not able to do it working for someone else. That advantage with being in sign industry is that you don’t need to have any prior experience with signs to be in the sign business. People always want to have the freedom of owning their own business and not having to deal with company politics, instability, downsizing fears and salary caps. Signworld gives you that platform to become the owner of your destiny."
“We have a proven business model that has inherent demand and offers diverse set of revenue streams. With our support and your initiative, you can jump into a completely new career and do as well or better than anyone in the industry." added Ken Kindt

Ken Kindt Signworld Interview with Ramsay - Part 3

Jack Werner VP Signworld Congratulates First Coast Signs for Ford Escape Deal

Laguna Hills, CA – December 12, 2011 -  Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld, today applauded Rebecca and Carlton Walden of First Coast Signs, for recently adding a
large customer with a nationwide presence to their list of esteemed clientele.

Jack Warner was full of praise for Rebecca and Carlton and was impressed by the team effort shown by other Signworld owners who played a major role in making this deal a success.

“First Coast Signs is a Signworld location in Jacksonville, FL. Rebecca and Carlton and begun the process of lining up vehicle wraps for these individual reps and currently have completed one full wrap on a Ford Escape, a partial wrap on a Pathfinder and will have a Magnum completed within a week.”, said a visibly pleased Jack Werner.

The design concept was approved by Corporate Headquarters with the first vehicle, the Ford Escape. “Once the theme is finalized, the same concept theme as other agents come on board and we fit it to accommodate their vehicles. There are various approved images provided by the Cruise Lines from which agents may select the one that matches their most popular ships and destinations”, said Rebecca.

First Coast Signs was able to wrap the Ford Escape in Jacksonville.  Even though the owners live in Atlanta, they were heading to Ft. Lauderdale for the annual sales conference held aboard the Allure of the Seas.

“The owners dropped their vehicle off on the way down, rented a car for the remainder of the trip, and First Coast Signs owners Carlton and Rebecca Walden drove the freshly wrapped vehicle sporting the new logo unveiled at the conference to pick the owners up at disembarkation.” added Jack Warner.

Emphasizing on the importance of team work, Jack Werner said, “By Signworld owners working together, it has allowed Rebecca and First Coast Signs to keep the customer, and allow others to help with installation. I appreciate the initiative shown by Pathfinder and Magnum in reaching out and helping Rebecca and her team to achieve this target.

Rebecca says of the project, “We are proud to be associated with Signworld and when it comes to projects like these the support that we get from all quarters is really overwhelming. Signworld allows us to keep the large customers like this in order to help us grow our business outside of our region with the help and support of the Signworld family to complete portions of the project that we can physically put our hands on.”

Ken Kind of Signworld Congratulates Owners of First Coast Signs Florida

Laguna Hills, CA – December 12, 2011 - Ken Kindt, President and Founder of Signworld today congratulated Rebecca and Carlton Walden of First Coast Signs, a Signworld operation in Jacksonville, FL for the recent addition of a large customer with a nationwide presence.

“By virtue of a contact in Rebecca’s BNI chapter, First Coast Signs is being promoted as the preferred provider of vehicle wraps for Cruise One and Cruises Inc., a cruise vacation agency with representatives throughout the country. I congratulate Rebecca and Carlton for grabbing this deal.” said Ken Kindt.

First Coast Signs had the design concept “blessed” by Corporate Headquarters with the first vehicle, the Ford Escape.  The same concept theme is used as other agents come on board and First Coast Signs “retro fits” it to accommodate their vehicles. The agents may select from various approved images provided by the Cruise Lines to feature what matches the agents’ most popular ships and destinations.

Ken Kindt applauded the camaraderie shown by Signworld owners. Both the Pathfinder and Magnum are examples of fellow Signworld owners “playing together nicely”. Rebecca reached out to Mike Bothwell, again in the metropolitan Atlanta area to wrap the Pathfinder and Martin Neill in Irvine, CA is on board to take care of wrapping the Magnum in the next few days.

“By Signworld owners working together, it has allowed Rebecca and First Coast Signs to keep the customer, and allow others to help with installation. We have always advocated the need of working together as a team which will bring success to one and all. It is heartening to see that Signworld members are working together as a cohesive unit and initiating overall growth of the Signworld family”, said Ken Kindt.

Rebecca says of the project, “We are so thankful that we are with the Signworld organization when it comes to a project like this. The support from other owners and also guidance and training from Signworld has helped us a lot in achieving this goal. The organization truly works like a family and not as competition, we are in this together and that is a something that shows us we joined the right group to achieve our goals.”

Ken Kindt of Signworld Conducts Webinar on Signworld Business Model

Laguna Hills, CA – December 12, 2011 -  Ken Kindt, President and Founder of Signworld, and Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld, recently held a public webinar for those interested in learning more about the Signworld business model.  Ken and Jack were joined by Larry Foster, Bob McEwen and Don Conklin, Signworld owners from Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia respectively.

The Signworld Webinars typically last for an hour to an hour and a half.  Ken Kindt and Jack Werner begin the webinar by providing short introductions of the Signworld Owners panel, which changes every month, and then give a short presentation on the Signworld business model, our marketing plan and some differentiators that set us apart not only from our counterparts in the sign industry but also our counterparts in the franchising world.  Once the presentation is complete, questions are then taken and addressed by the panel to help give those in attendance a well rounded answer.  Ken will address the question from the corporate aspect, what Signworld teaches you in training, Jack Werner, will answer from his previous Signworld ownership experience, and the Owner’s panel will answer from their varying years of experience.

On this particular webinar, an attendee asked how difficult it was in finding their first employee.  Don Conklin, a Signworld Owner from Buford, GA who has recently opened his doors and the most current experience with this question responded by saying, “ We virtually had no trouble at all in finding our first employee.  We posted an ad on Craig’s List, met with a few of the local delivery drivers, talked with local sign supply distributors and a few local Signworld operations.  Within a week or so we had 55 resumes on our desk to sift through.  From the 55, 10 met our qualifications.  From those 10, three could have easily been a perfect fit, but ultimately we only needed one.  We hired our first employee two weeks before our ‘soft opening’ and have not looked back.  He is great at what he does and we look forward to him being a big piece of our company in the future.”

Jack Werner answered as well by saying, “Signworld will help you through the process of finding your first and future employees.  Unfortunately,  you don’t know what makes a good sign-maker, but what you do know is what makes a good employee and the characteristics that are a good fit with you.  Once you have narrowed it down to a few candidates, we will jump in and assist in the interview process to make sure that your potential employee has the skill set to be an asset to your company.”

Ken Kindt & Jack Werner of Signworld Hold Webinar on Signworld Business Model

Laguna Hills, CA – December 12, 2011 -  Ken Kindt, President and Founder of Signworld, and Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld, recently held a public webinar for those interested in learning more about the Signworld business model.  Ken and Jack were joined by 3 Signworld Owners who were willing to donate their time and answer questions from those in attendance.

Ken will address the question from the corporate aspect, what Signworld teaches you in training, Jack Werner, a former Signworld Owner will answer from his 10 years of business ownership experience, and the Owner’s Panel will answer from their varying years of experience.

On a recent webinar, an attendee focused his question in on how to best finance the business and structure the funding to put himself into the best situation possible.  Ken Kindt responded by saying, “The most popular and best way to finance the business is through what we call the ‘401k Rollover’.  This option allows you to transfer funds from your 401k to fund the start-up of a business virtually tax-free.  This option is the most popular mainly because if you have the funds available, it allows you to utilize what you have saved over the years and more importantly start the business debt-free.  The second most popular way to fund the business is through a home refinance, and lastly is the SBA loan.  The SBA loan falls behind the home refinance mainly because the SBA is going to require you to give a personal guarantee which in most cases will mean that your home is put on the line.  If you are going to put your home on the line, it is much better for you to refinance at mortgage rates we have never seen before rather than the SBA’s rates of anywhere between 7-10%.”

Ken Kindt & Jack Warner Announce Signworld Seminar to be held on December 15, 2011

Laguna Hills, CA – November 16, 2011 -  Ken Kindt, President and Founder of Signworld, and Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld, are excited to announce that the next Signworld Webinar will take place 2:00 pm EST / 11:00 am PST on Thursday, December 15, 2011.

Webinars are open to anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about the Signworld business model.  Ken Kindt and Jack Warner host these webinars once a month and are joined by three Signworld Owners who donate their time to answer questions from those in attendance.

The Signworld Webinars typically last for an hour to an hour and a half.  Ken Kindt and Jack Warner begin the webinar by providing short introductions of the Signworld Owners panel, which changes every month, and then give a short presentation on the Signworld business model, our marketing plan and some differentiators that set us apart not only from our counterparts in the sign industry but also our counterparts in the franchising world.  Once the presentation is complete, Ken opens the floor to questions from attendees.  Ken will address the question from the corporate aspect, what Signworld teaches you in training, Jack Werner, a former Signworld Owner will answer from his 10 years of business ownership experience, and the Owner’s Panel will answer from their varying years of experience.  Typically Signworld will have an owner that is brand new, roughly 3-6 months in business, an owner with 3-5 years of experience and an owner with 7+ years of experience so that the individual attendees can see the potential growth within the industry.

Larry Foster, who is a frequent webinar panelist, says about his involvement, “I have always enjoyed participating in these webinars.  It gives me an opportunity to essentially pay-it-forward.  There were quite a few owners that spent a great deal of time with me when I was doing my due diligence and validation of Signworld.  Now being a part of the Signworld Family, I’m happy to spend time with future owners to help them with their questions and concerns.  The webinars are an opportunity for me to help many at one time rather than one at many times.  One of the most important things it does for me is it helps me clean up my act from time to time.  I can’t honestly answer a question if I’m not doing what I preach, so sometimes a good question from an attendee will make me sit back and reflect on whether or not I am doing the right thing or if I have let some standards slip in that area.

Ken Kindt & Jack Werner Announce Signworld Discovery Day to be held on Dec 9, 2011

Laguna Hills, CA – November 16, 2011 -  Ken Kindt, President and Founder of Signworld, and Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld, are excited to announce that the next Signworld Discovery Day will take place on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Signworld’s corporate training center in Laguna Hills, CA.

Discovery Days are open to anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about the Signworld business model and spend some quality relationship-building time with the Signworld staff as well as a few of our owners and most valued supplier partners.  At a typical Discovery Day, Ken Kindt and Jack Werner will host roughly 25 individuals who have determined that having some “hands-on” activity with the Signworld staff is an important piece in their decision-making process.

The Signworld Discovery Day starts off with a tour of a Signworld location in Los Alamitos, CA that primarily focuses their business on the vehicle wrap market, one of the fastest growing niche markets in the sign industry.  After the tour and a quick break for a hosted luncheon, Ken and Jack then charter the attendees down to our corporate training center for a Q&A session, presentations on the Signworld model and our marketing plan, as well as equipment demos and an opportunity to make a sign.  After this portion of the day is complete, Ken and Jack then charter the group to another nearby Signworld location in Irvine, CA for a quick tour and meet-and-greet with the owners of that business.  The day concludes with a hosted dinner to allow for a final opportunity for attendees to build upon their relationship with the Signworld staff and Signworld owners as well as address any additional questions or concerns that were not discussed during the day’s agenda.

Ken Kindt says of the Discovery Days, “Discovery Days are a great opportunity for an individual to come and truly see what we are about.  It’s important to have multiple phone conversations because that is the ground work to building a relationship, but that relationship and its worth is not defined until you are able to meet face to face.  We believe wholeheartedly that a Discovery Day is both educational for the individual as well as a cheap insurance policy for the individual.  One of two things is going to happen at a Discovery Day, the individual is either going to confirm that Signworld is the right fit for them, or they are going to confirm that it is not the right fit for them.  Either way, they have insured their purchase of a business; I always recommend that everyone who is seriously looking at Signworld should attend a Discovery Day to ensure that they are making the right decision.”

Ken Kindt of Signworld Explains How Signs are Purchased

Ken Kindt of Signworld Inaugurates New Signworld Location in Santa Clarita

Laguna Hills, CA – November 16, 2011 -  Ken Kindt, President and Founder of Signworld, and Jack Werner, Vice President of Signworld, would like to announce the addition of Shelley Romero and Rob Paschall, Owners of Skycrest Signs and Graphics, a new Signworld location in Santa Clarita, CA to the Signworld family

Shelley and Rob spent the last 14 years working through various corporate departments at Washington Mutual leading up to the failure of the big bank and sale of assets to Chase Bank in 2010.  Shelley and Rob most recently managed a technical department of more than 30 employees for Washington Mutual, once the big bank was purchased by Chase, they were retained by Chase for a short period of time to help with a smooth transition.  During this transitional period, Shelley and Rob decided that they no longer wanted someone else to control their future and ultimately determine what their future financial fortitude.  Shelley and Rob began the daunting task of finding a business that would help them accomplish their goals while giving them the ability to truly own their business and run it the way they would like to, ultimately giving them the opportunity to own their future.

Shelley and Rob were introduced to Vic Scimo, a franchise broker with Frannet, one of the largest organizations that represent over 75 of the best franchise and business opportunities in the world.  Vic helped Shelley and Rob see their future in each franchise situation and determined that Signworld was the right fit to help them achieve their goals.  Vic said, “Shelley and Rob came from a situation where they ultimately had no control of their future and were thrown out on the streets after the poor business practices and decisions of a large commercial bank.  Shelley and Rob came to me with all of the skills necessary to be a successful business owner including leadership, team management and project management among many others.  Signworld proved to be a good fit for them based on their skill-set and the strong interest they had in truly owning their business.  Signworld provided them with the turn-key no-rules solution, the ongoing training and the ability to run their business their way.”

Shelley said of their decision to join Signworld, “We had looked for the right business for quite a while, and when we were introduced to Signworld it just clicked.   After spending some time with Ken Kindt to understand the “Signworld Plan”, we knew that Signworld was the right vehicle to help us achieve our goals.”

Ken Kindt says of Shelley and Rob, “We’re excited to have Shelley and Rob join our tight-knit organization.  Shelley and Rob really understand the need in the business world for signage and we are ready to work hard to help them make the world more beautiful one sign at a time.  They have high expectations for their new venture and we look forward to helping them achieve their goals”
